Healthy Child Healthy World Searches for the 2012 Mom on a Mission

This is a non-paid post written in behalf of the Mom Bloggers for Social Good, a group of Mom bloggers who speak for worthy, charitable partner programs.

This is the group's first campaign for "Healthy Child Healthy World's Search for the 2012 Mom on a Mission."  If you know a mom who has done something extraordinary in the pursuit of a mission, like Tamara Rubin - founder of Lead Safe America and winner of 2011 Mom on a Mission, then you can nominate her now at http://www.healthychild.org/mission to become the 2012 Mom on a Mission.

From January to August, one mom will be selected and honored for her inspiring mission work. In September and October, the general public will vote to choose who will become the 2012 Mom in a Mission, and in November, she will receive her grand award at a gala event in New York City.

Healthy Child Healthy World is a non-profit organization celebrating its 20th anniversary year. It was founded in 1992 after five-year-old Colette Chuda died of a rare form of non-hereditary cancer linked to environmental factors. It takes a leadership role in the promoting public health and environmental movements of the 21st century. Today, it is focused on empowering parents to protect children from harmful chemicals.
